A fun flower arrangement has been sent to Greg Kramer in the name of his fans to
cheer him up as he recovers from Friday's surgery.

To see what was sent go to:

Hisselfness' surgery was a success, and he's reportedly doing quite well.

His recovery won't be overnight, so let's constantly remind him that his fans
care. We'll keep forwarding cards and small gifts for him.

He didn't dub himself "Hisselfishness" for nuthin' ;-)

FOr information on sending him gifts, cards and so forth, e-mail Bonnie at
Callalily@... or me at Libratsie@...

Want to send something but don't have the funds? He's always commented on the
fun and whacky little things fans have made themselves. So draw him a
picture, write him a poem, write him a story, copy your backside on the copier
and
work (Okay, maybe that one isn't such a good idea....)

Greg's surgery will now be on Friday morning, but he's doing well! He thanks
everyone for all the well wishes and good vibes.

If you'd like to send a card or little goody, please e-mail Bonnie at
callalily@...

We're hoping to send him little packages now and again while he recovers, so
please do keep the cards coming. I really think it means a lot to him to know
that we, fans, care about him.

Bonnie and I can also both forward e-mails of well wishes to him. My e-mail is

As I posted earlier this week, Greg aka hisselfness will be having major
surgery later this week. Bonnie has been kind enough to volunteer to send a
package with cards and small gifts in them to Greg. Her e-mail for info is

Either her or I can forward e-mail messages to him.

Greg "Screed" Kramer is having surgery next week to remove a lung tumor. (To
answer the question before it is asked, yes, he is a smoker). We already have

a package of goodies on its way, but if other fans would like to send him
well
wishes and cards, e-mail Bonnie at callalily@... for information. You
can e-mail either Bonnie or myself (Libratsie@...) if you'd like to send an
e-mail message to him. We'll forward them. Of course prayers, thoughts, and
good vibes are very much welcomed.

I just noticed that Hisselfishness's new book is available for per-
order at www.amazon.com for about $16. The title is "Wally."

(As far as I know he is NOT the Greg Kramer who has written all the
gaming books)

Wouldn't it be great if the pre-orders took off?

I know little about this novel by design, but he has discribed it
as "a tragedy" and quite different from his other novels.

His birthday is in a few days, and I bet what he'd really like from
his fans is for his book pre-orders to take off! ;-)

Just got a bit of an update on our fav-o-ripe droog.

His newest novel, currently called 'Wally,' is scheduled to be released in
February, 'scheduled' being a key word. I'll keep my peepers open for its
availability. gk tells me it is quite a departure from what we've read before,
and is more serious.

After that, he's directing 'Tiger's Heart' by Kit Brennan at the Centaur
mainspace (I'm assuming this is in Montreal or the Montreal area). That runs
all of May.

It is that time of year again... Time to wish the sometimes bald droog the

While you are there, don't forget the Ratpack/Forever Knight sprites! (and we

They're all the way down at the bottom of the page -- under More Crap and

PLUS, it isn't too late to send a little giftee to Greg for his birthday.
However, I need to know ASAP that you are planning to do so. I probably won't
mail the package for a couple of weeks as I'm waiting for something. E-mail

It is also almost time to send another fan package of goodies to him. It'll

WAKE UP! IT IS MUCH TOO QUIET IN HERE!

Do I have your attention?

That's better.

I'd like to send Greg another fan package between the first of the year and his
birthday in March. So here's your chance to send him a gift.

The gifts need to be small and relatively light as postage is outrageous. I
don't mind doing the shopping for you, and donations for postage is welcome (I
have Pay Pal) and will be recognized to Greg if you want it to be (does that
make ANY sense?)

Greg's rather fun to shop for. He likes comic books, mysteries, the weird,
music, fan created crafts and arts, etc. Of course rats are a frequent theme.

Contact me OFF LIST for my address, then I'll send the gifts on to Greg. The
gifts MUST be unwrapped and any cards unsealed. I'll wrap and seal. Please
understand I have to know EXACTLY what is going into the box these days. No, I'm
not screening his mail, instead I'm screening for the post office<g> They ask a
lot of questions (and rightfully so) and I want to avoid getting myself into
trouble.

It looks like all 22 episodes of John Woo's "Once A Thief" series from a few
years ago will be shown in many areas of the US starting this Fall (alas, NOT in
mine - grrrrrr). I've been in contact with a gentleman from the distribution
company via e-mail, so I believe this is on the up-and-up. However, I have NOT
heard this from Greg (who may not know). The gentleman said if it did well,
there's a chance of new episodes, although I'm not sure that'd be possible with
so many of those involved now doing other projects.

Greg, hisselfishness, appeared as the recurring character of Mr. Murphy, a
rather regal assassin (The anti-Screed).

I do have a complete list of all the areas it will be shown, but will have to
wait until this weekend and try to convert it to a file I can repost here.
Meanwhile, here's the press release:

JOHN WOO’S ONCE A THIEF PREMIERES
IN OCTOBER;
ADVENTURE DRAMA DELIVERS UNIQUE EXCITEMENT OF DIRECTOR JOHN WOO’S ACTION
MOVIES TO WEEKLY TELEVISION

Television gets hotter this autumn with the premiere of John Woo's ONCE A THIEF
, a sizzling one-hour syndicated adventure that brings the unique excitement of
Hong Kong action films to weekly television. The series debuts _______________
at _________ on channel _____________.

Based on the critically acclaimed movie, John Woo's ONCE A THIEF tells the story
of two young refugees from a criminal empire in Hong Kong.
The series takes viewers into startling, cutting-edge worlds, fusing romance,
action and humor, all in the signature style of John Woo, the man who broke down
the wall between the action movie and the art film.

Brought up to be expert in all manner of physical and criminal skills --
everything from martial arts to superb abilities to con -- Mac Ramsey (Ivan
Sergei – “Jack and Jill,” “Touched By An Angel,” “Dangerous
Minds”) and Li Ann Tsei (Sandrine Holt – “Black Robe,” “New York
Undercover,” “The Outer Limits”), both in their mid-twenties, now use
their expertise to fight crime in North America. Working with a former cop,
Victor Mansfield (Nicholas Lea – “The X Files,” “The Commish,”
“Lonesome Dove”), they are part of an elite law enforcement agency that
takes on threats that are too powerful, protected, or unique for regular police
forces. Complicating their relationship is an ongoing sexual tension among the
three operatives.

John Woo’s ONCE A THIEF is produced by Alliance Atlantis and distributed by
October Moon Television.

After the renaming of the Rainbow-Knights to Rainbow_Knights to avoid the

interesting observation about the possible relationship between Screed and

Cliff came up with the name Vaquarouches. Thus, a new yahoogroups

I still have the clip-on nose ring, though what I carried in the play was
actually a cat-o-nine tail which has disappeared along with the fingerless
tight black gloves... Alas, they aren't even in the prop loft at the theater
that we could find. *whimper*

But, I still have the "biker boots" and leather vest!
