The Filmmaker Resource Sharing Group is an initiative created to promote a series of small group meetings in which filmmakers like you are invited to explore the concept of "resource sharing" and cooperating to help each other find the "missing elements" we need to get our films completed and to secure appropriate distribution (including self-distribution).
This is the real "community" that most of us independent filmmakers have been looking for--face to face contact and interaction with our peers in the filmmaking community.
The meetings consist of a potluck dinner (with spirited conversations), presentations of projects by filmmakers plus a Q&A, followed by one-on-one talks with filmmakers or other "resources possibilities" such as editors, lawyers, labs, distributors etc., making possible those very important connections that we all need to make.
This initiative is sponsored by The Metro Theatre Center Foundation (www.indieplex.org).
