We are Communication Arts students
from De La Salle University – Manila and our thesis is the making of a
low-budget film yet with quality. We hope to enter this film in the Cinemalaya
film festival.

of Film: Balintuna (Tagalog film)
Themes
of the film: honesty and parenthood
Synopsis:
Mother and child spend a Wednesday in Baclaran. Child gets lost. Mother
searches for child and in the process, both mother and child end up stealing.
Innocent child steals not knowing it is a crime. Mother lectures child that
stealing is wrong, but what the child doesn’t know is her mother also stole
cash in order to grant her daughter’s wish.

MINOR
ROLES NEEDED:
All
minor roles are treated with the same level of importance as with the major
characters. Actors/actresses should be able to play the part in full capability
and effort. Accordingly, one should know how to act the part he/she is asked
to. Facial expressions, body language, proper use of speech, personality and
working habits will be some of the criteria the judges will follow.

– loud personality, “bungangera”, can act in a panic scene, female at her 30s
or older
Shooting
Days will be weekends of July.
Actors/Actresses
will be paid. Prices can range from P300 – P2,200 per shooting day (Still
depending
on experience and talent. Prices still negotiable.)
