WORKSHOP FEE: P2,000 for the entire workshop (the rest will be
shouldered by FDCP)
WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES:
The workshop course is designed to enable the new filmmaker achieve
fluency in writing for film by fulfilling the following primary
objectives:
1. Provide a methodical process for translating real-life material
into narrative terms;
2. Provide a theoretical framework for understanding the textual
codes behind the dramatic, realist and poetic time models;
3. Provide operations and mechanisms for applying narrative grammar;
4. Provide idioms for broadening narrative vocabulary; and
5. Encourage the writing of culturally meaningful stories that are
globally competitive.
WORKSHOP PROGRAM:
Formal classes: Sept. 15 & 16, Sept. 22 & 23, Sept. 29 & 30, Oct. 6 &
7, Oct. 13 & 14, Oct. 20 & 21, Oct. 27 & 28, Saturdays and Sundays,
1 - 6/7 p.m.
