The musical version of "Grumpy Old Men" (the hit movie that inspired a
sequel) will host a special reading in NYC in November, and Christopher
Lloyd will perform the part of Max Goldman (originally played by Walter
Matthau in the movie version). The reading is by invitation only and
the parts are all being performed by an all star cast of seasoned Tony
winners and theater veterans.
Personally, I'm a big fan of the movie, so I hope the musical is a
faithful adaptation. :P
On a side note, the cast also features Carol Kane, who worked with
Lloyd before on "Taxi" and the famed Lincoln Theater staging
of "MacBeth".
