Robert Zemeckis, Ken Ralston and Christopher Lloyd have recently
collaborated on a USC master student's thesis film "The Macabre World
of Lavender Williams". Last fall, Robert Zemeckis read USC student
Nicolas Delgado de la Camara's original script entitled "The Macabre
World of Lavender Williams" and agreed to personally mentor the
project through its production. Talk about giving back to your alma
mater! Anyway, Ken Ralston was added as Supervisor of Visual Effects,
and pretty soon, Christopher Lloyd joined the cast in February for the
quick shoot. From the information I've received, it seems to be very
similar to "Pan's Labarynth" in terms of tone and the important role
of visual effects. Delgado's style looks incredible, and I can only
imagine what the finished product will look like.
The film is currently in post production, and you can check out the
director's production company website at

Lavender Williams.
Talk about a lucky film student!
