You have to picture this. It's 3:30 AM. I had just put my sick bird
back in his cage (we had been sleeping on my pillow together) and
brushed my teeth. I come back to put my beading work away for the
night and dump about 3 tubes of seed beads all over my bed.
Together. They're stuck in the afghans, in the sheets, flicking
everywhere when I try to pick them up. I'm not pleased.
So I start picking them up and muse over the Court TV show that
happens to be on. (I'm a nighttime Court TV nut... Forensic Files,
Psychic Detectives, Suburban Secrets.... they're all great!) They're
usually interview-style clips of people talking about a crime while a
narrator puts it all together. The following was my exact thought
process.
"That voice sounds familiar. Sounds like he's from the northeast part
of the country somewhere. Maybe Massachusetts or Connecticut. Damn
seed beads in everything. If it weren't the middle of the night I'd
run the vacuum cleaner. He sounds a little like Christopher Lloyd.
Now, THAT guy has a great voice. There's only one in the world that
sounds like him. But this narrator sounds a LOT like him. (Pays
attention and listens closely) Waaaaaiiiit a minute!"
So, yes, Christopher Lloyd was the narrator on tonight's episode
of "The Investigators" titled "Murder for Hire." It's scheduled to
repeat Saturday at 2:00 AM and 1:00 PM ET. Guess who's gonna have
her DVD recorder going? :-D
And now... back to your regularly scheduled annoyance of picking up
seed beads out of the bed.
