Back in 2000, Lloyd completed a film entitled "A Fate Totally Worse
than Death". The teen thriller satire starred Lloyd, Janet Leigh (of
"Psycho" fame), Jonathan Brandis, Monica Keena, Julie Benz, and
others. Based on the Young Adult genre book of the same name, the
movie was never released. Universal has now acquired the rights and
will release is on DVD on March 22nd under the title "Bad Girls from
Valley High". I had a chance to read a version of the script a while
back (no clue how close it was to the final filming script), and the
film is definitely supposed to be a satire of teen thriller films.
Much wittier and cleaner than films ala "Scary Movie". Anyhow, I'm
curious to see the end result. Kinda funny this announcement came
today, because just yesterday I was wondering if this film would ever
be released in any capacity. Weird...
