Hey guys,
Less than two weeks until the LSAT test for me, and here I am with
an update. ;) I'm such a dork.
Anyway, a DVD of the series "The Tick" will be released at the end
of the month. For those of you who don't know, Christopher Lloyd
was in the series premiere episode with a guest appearance as Mr.
Fishladder, the owner and boss of a huge accounting firm. He was
therefore the head boss of one of the main characters who decides to
leave his job as an accountant to become a superhero (for you Tick
fans, that would be Arthur).
Anyway, this was a couple years ago, and now it's coming out on DVD,
with 8 episodes. Great news since you probably wouldn't otherwise
get a chance to see it unless you caught its original run. Though
Lloyd's only in the first one, and only for 5 minutes at that, he's
absolutely hilarious in the role and very good. Barry Sonnenfeld
("Addams Family" and "Men In Black") directed this episode and also
served as a producer of the series, based on the cult comic book.
Some of the special features on the DVD include a commentary by
Sonnenfeld and creator Bob Edlund. I'm hoping Sonnenfeld has some
interesting things to say about CL since they've worked together
before ("addams Family" and the sequel). Even of he doesn't the
show was hysterically funny, and it's just too bad FOX didn't know
what they had on their hands as far as quality comedy.
You can order the DVD off of Amazon.com
I highly recommend it.
Peace,
Christina
