Hi!
I just checked it - it's still there!
Click on this link "http://briefcase.yahoo.com/spootnek",
Then click on Spootnek's Folder-O-Rama!
Then "right click - save as" on While I'm Still Young!
And save this mp3 of the song to whatever folder you want!

Hi. I was wondering if anyone here has a copy of The Guru on video that they
can make a copy for me? I can trade or reimburse you for the effort.

Thank you,

Monica

re: finding rita: I don't remember where I read it exactly, but an
article on rita, prob. few years ago, said she'd been living in
Canada for many years.
You could also try contacting the publisher(? or whoever) of a recent
film she was in. Or look up the film credits and see if there is some
contact under "publicity".
If any of recent films is american, she might belong to screen
actor's guild, which has a phone no. in LA, and would have name of
her agent.
I'm sure you or your mother have tried contacting the school to see
if anyone has kept in touch with her.
I saw "Taste of Honey" as a teenager, and can still remember all of
it.One of best films made ever. Just saw The Knack " again on tv
tonight. Which is how I found this page.

I don't have any news on these two releases, sorry! I have "A Taste
Of Honey" on video & I've never found "A Place To Go" anywhere
either! I do have the book it's based on, I won it on eBay!

I got my 2 sealed LPs in mail auctions!
I bid $50 on it and didn't hear back for a long time, then another
copy came up so I bid $50 on that one & about a week after I sent my
bid for the second one in I found out I won the first one, then I won
the second one! So I had to buy them both so I wouldn't get a bad
reputation as a buyer! But when I got them, one was Stereo & one was
Mono, so at least they weren't completely identical! Since it's from
the 60s & stuff from the 60s usually sounds better with mono I opened
the mono one!

I like to think of it as a "fan creation" & they did a very nice job!
Of course if it is ever really actually released on CD, I'll buy it
for sure!!

Somebody said the soundtrack to "The Leather Boys" is on CD, does
anybody have a link?
I have "The Trap" & "The Knack" on CD! & "Smashing Time" on CDR!

The "Girl With Green Eyes" DVD came!

Release Date for "Straight On Till Morning is: July 23, 2002

Glad you liked that "Smashing Time" CD. The seller basically
told me it was a bootleg, so I passed on bidding for it. Maybe
he'll offer it again. As I might have mentioned, while in London
last December, I saw a very good condition copy of the original
soundtrack LP for, I think, at least 30 pounds or $45. I passed at
the price, but should have ponied up anyway, as I adore "While
I'm So Young", Yvonne's big breakthough tune... So, when is "A
Taste of Honey" out on DVD? Ditto "A Place to Go", which I can
never find anywhere on any format?

Hi everybody!
I haven't been here in a while, but I have some really great news!
The Anchor Bay DVD of "Straight On Till Morning" IS going to have
audio commentary from Rita herself! Another site had mentioned it but
Anchor Bay just said "TBD", but now Anchor Bay officially states it
on their site! I also read all the past posts & I noticed somebody
else won a copy of the "Smashing Time" CD off eBay! I won a copy too!

LP I paid 5 times the amount for! I won the "Girl With The Green

know Rita Tushingham, or how to contact her, I'm just a huge fan of
her film work! If you visit my site you will find a filmography, some
pics, lyrics to the songs from "Smashing Time" & a DVD News section!

Hi, Mimi: I'm on the Shindig list and used to
subscribe to Bomp! (the magazine) long ago. Small world
indeed. Let me know about that Smashing Time CD, sounds
like it was a bootleg, at least according to the
seller. But I'd love to have a copy of "While I'm Still
Young" by Lynn Redgrave... The Leather Boys IS on CD AND
video. It's become one of my favorite early '60s
films--I love Rita getting drunk at Butlin's on her
honeymoon. Highly recommended... I've never seen a bio on
Rita, and I've checked lots of cinema stores in London
on recent trips. Too bad... Then your birthday is
March 14, right? I know because that's my brother's
birthday!

Greg O.

I got to buy Smashing Times on Ebay (yes, that was

seen this particular movie, because most of them are
unavailable in Montreal which is highly frustrating! I am
anxious to buy the Girl With Green Eyes dvd on its
release next month.

Rita's b-day is the same as

Ah, this is fairly strange, posting messages back
and forth to myself. :-( C'mon, fellow Rita T. fans.
Where are you all hiding? For one thing, I'd like to
know if anyone's seen "A Place to Go", which doesn't
ever seem to be shown, nor is it available for rent or
sale from any of my usual sources. As it's right in
Rita's early group of films, all of which I adore, I'm
anxious to see it.

Greg Ogarrio

Just found out that London's coolest rock 'n'
roll band -- those aforementioned Rapiers -- are
gigging at the Ace Cafe on 29 March 2002. So if you
happen to be on holiday in London, point your motorbike
toward the Old North Circular. BTW: Here's a link to the
Ace home page celebrating its 2001 grand opening

As a big fan of both Rita Tushingham and early
'60s UK rock 'n' roll, I had an absolutely smashing
time visiting the reconstituted Ace Cafe, backdrop to
"The Leather Boys", in December on my London holiday.

their inspiration from said
period.

<a

after viewing several of rita tushingham's
movies, i finally met her (1978) and had an opportunity
to chat with her and take some photos of her. she
had come to be with her beau - ousama rawi who was
the cinematographer on "zulu dawn" film in
kwazulu-natal (my home region in south africa)

i found
her to be a deeply spiritual and warm person. as she
was not appearing in "zulu dawn", no-one really
noticed her - except for myself of course.

as i
was merely doing a casual search for info on her; as
i often mention her when talking about dr zhivago,
the trap and other films she appeared in. it came as
quite a surprise to se that there was in fact a yahoo
club dedicated to her.

good show guys . .

I started this club, but I'm hardly ever
here!
Oh well! I have updated some of the Rita Web Page! I
got rid of the old galleries & now have smaller
galleries dedicated to each movie (well each movie I have
pictures from)! The "A Taste Of Honey" & "Straight On Til
Morning" Galleries are the ones I did extra stuff in!
Check 'Em Out! I'm finally starting to see some of
Rita's more recent pictures! Thanks to eBay I now have
"Paper Marriage" "Under The Skin" "Spaghetti House" &
"Rachel's Man"! I also found "An Awfully Big Adventure" for
$2.00 at a video store sale! I'd like to say "Hi!" to
the other 3 members! I wish I had more time to visit!
By for now!
