Hi Greg,
Diamonds For Breakfast is a 1968 film, the first English film done by
Marcello Mastroianni, and has Rita playing the part of a lock-picker
and safe-cracker in a heist of Russian Imperial jewels. Rita is one
of a bevy of beauties surrounding Mastroianni, each with a job to do
to accomplish the heist.
Mildly entertaining, but mainly a vehicle for Mastroianni. Not one
of Rita's best supporting roles. I received my VHS copy, after
months of waiting, from Robert's Videos,
http://www.robertsvideos.com.
A question, if you will, concerning two of the DVDs you mentioned.
Your "A Taste of Honey" DVD -- is it Region 2? Can you play R2 DVDs?
Also, "Green Eyes"-- I had read that Rita's 1976 movie with Paul
Winfield, titled "Green Eyes" (aka "The Search for Green Eyes") had
been released on DVD earlier in 2004, but I have not seen it for sale
anywhere. Is this the movie to which you refer, and if so, where did
you manage to purchase it?
If you meant "Girl With Green Eyes", then there is no need to tell me
where you purchased it. A brilliant film. Nobody can portray
vulnerability like Rita can.
Cheers,
Robert
