Hi everyone,
Rita has been very busy lately. She just sent me an update by email,
and I thought that you might be interested in reading what she had to
say about some of her recent film work.
"I have been busy with PUFFBALL in Turkey and Bath [Bath Film
Festival], and I was in Rome doing press for the Italian opening of
THE HIDEOUT (a.k.a. IL NASCONDIGLIO). PUFFBALL will open here in
March of next year, I am not sure about THE HIDEOUT. THE CALLING is
still being edited, and I think THERE FOR ME is almost finished."
"I was at a screening of the short film we shot in September, COME
HERE TODAY, directed by Simon Aboud, with Rhys Ifans. There is very
little dialogue. It is in black and white and looks stunning; all
the people that went to the screening that evening - there were few
as it is a short - liked it very much."
"I was at a screening of SMASHING TIME at the BFI this week, a really
good audience. I did a Q&A afterwards, and there were some good
questions. They also screened some of George Melly's work later in
the evening; he is sadly missed."
"I have hardly spent any time in Brighton as I needed to be in
London, I am planning to spend Christmas there with family and
friends, I look forward to that."
Happy Holidays!
Kind regards,
Robert
