What is there not to like ??? For a start, the lines
"Ere ... you are giving him what he wants aren't you
?" and the response "That's just it mam, it's not him
who wants ...." should go down in cinema history as
the ultimate "sisterhood" conversation ! Then there
is the fact that even in the early 1960's .... there
was just ... that possibility ..... that men might be
attracted to each other (even though they were BOTH in
denial) .... it's brave - it's superb and it is so
ahead of it's time xx
