Objet : [Finally A Rita Tushingham Club] Some recent shows
Hi everyone,
I'd like to mention a few new DVDs that I have,
containing appearances by our Rita.
* Rita Tushingham (1966) German Documentary --
I've mentioned this item before, and now I have
a higher-quality DVD transfer of Rita's original
videotape. If you already obtained the previous
version of this disc from me, drop me a note and
I'll send you the update.
* This Is Your Life: Rita Tushingham (1999) --
Same as above, I have a higher-quality DVD
transfer available.
* The 60s: The Beatles Decade (2006) --
This is a five-part (five-hour) series on 3 DVDs
about how the decade of the 1960s was influenced
by the Beatles. Several 60s icons are
interviewed, including Rita.
* Richard & Judy (2006) --
I have both of Rita's 2006 appearances on this
British late-afternoon chat show. She appeared
in July to discuss the decade of the 1960s in
connection with the aforementioned Beatles
series, and then again in August with her
younger daughter Aisha to talk about Aisha's
battle with breast cancer. These episodes are
in widescreen format, and will be displayed
properly if you've configured your DVD player's
widescreen options.
* Angel Cake (15 Sep 2006) --
This is a cute one-hour TV movie with Rita in a
good role as the mother whose arthritis
undergoes a miraculous remission, among other
miracles taking place amongst members of the
household. (This was filmed in July, and Rita
said that she nearly passed out from the heat
and humidity at the house where they were
filming.) The DVD has this show in two
different formats: standard and widescreen.
Many thanks to our member Kirk White for
recording this for me!
