Hi everyone,
For those of us in the USA, PBS will be broadcasting "THE SITTAFORD
MYSTERY" tonight, Sunday, July 23rd. My local listing shows a
broadcast time of 9:00pm, though yours may vary. The show is two
hours long.
My apologies for this eleventh-hour notification, but my own sources
were rather delayed on this one. I just found out myself.
For those who may not recall, this is the fourth and final show of
this season's "MISS MARPLE" series starring Geraldine McEwan. Rita
played a role in this show, which was filmed in January 2006 and
telecast in Great Britain on 30 April 2006.
If you don't get a chance to see it, you can always order the DVD
from me (or wait for a rebroadcast). Those who can play Region 2
DVDs can get the official DVD from Amazon UK as well as verious other
merchants.
Rita has been very busy of late, which I think is terrific for us
fans. It gives us just what we want -- MORE RITA! She did the "MISS
MARPLE" in January, then shot the film "PUFFBALL" in Ireland this
Spring, and lately has shown up in a 5-part series called "THE 60s:
THE BEATLES DECADE" telling the story of the Beatles' influence on
the decade of the Sixties.
I've just received some copies of this series from some friends in
the UK, and will be making this series available as a DVD set. Rita
also appeared on the "RICHARD & JUDY" talk show on 13 July to plug
this series, and I will include a copy of this interview with the DVD
set.
Rita just appeared on the BBC morning show "BBC BREAKFAST TIME" just
this past Friday, 21 July, topic: "RELAY FOR LIFE" talking about
breast cancer. You may recall that her younger daughter Aisha, now
35 years old, battled breast cancer this past year. The interview
was so short, though, that I didn't bother to get it recorded.
Rita mentioned in a recent email: "I have been shooting a T.V. which
is very funny called 'Angel Cake' and there has been no free time, I
will finish on thursday the 27th July. I have been really busy which
is terrific and there is another project planned for September which
is in discussion at the moment so fingers crossed, more of that
later."
That's all for now,
Cheers,
Robert
