Robert Stephens did not play the homosexual
role in A Taste of Honey. He played the
mother's boyfriend,then husband. Can't
remember the name of the other actor.
Robert Stephens was married to Maggie Smith
for years and I had the great pleasure of
seeing them both on the stage in LA in the
1970's in two Noel Coward plays, Design for
Living and Private Lives.
