Diamonds, Guru, Desert Lunch   Message List

Hi all,

I recently obtained newer copies of "Diamonds For Breakfast"
and "The Guru" from a film collector.

Both copies have much better color than the copies I had
before, especially the vibrant color rendition of "The Guru".
Neither movie is razor-sharp though, because this collector
did not set his recorder for high-resolution recording. I'd
say that "Diamonds For Breakfast" is a bit sharper than "The
Guru".

I also recently obtained a copy of Rita's 1993 Polish movie
"The Gospel According To Harry", also known as "Desert Lunch",
starring Viggo Mortensen. This is an ultra-rare movie that I
was lucky to find. The recording is pretty good, recorded
from European TV.

As always, please send me an email message (rjd0309@...)
if you are interested in a DVD of any of these movies. For
those of you with old copies from me of "Diamonds For
Breakfast" or "The Guru", I will be happy to send newer
versions to you – just drop me an email.

Oh, I recently heard from Rita. Her younger daughter, Aisha,
is staying with her, and the builders have been painting and
remodeling the building where Rita lives, causing a bit of
inconvenience. Rita is in negotiations to appear in a new
movie about football, called "Sweet FA", so fingers crossed!

Kind regards,
Robert
