There is a great new merchant on eBay, called "thesmallscreen", who
is making a lot of old movies available on DVD.
It turns out that one reason that we don't see some of these old
movies is that their legal ownership has lapsed somewhere along the
line. This seller searches the Library of Congress and finds movies
that are now in the "public domain", and then makes them available on
DVD.
I have recently purchased two DVDs from this merchant. The first is a
heist comedy from 1967, with Oliver Reed and Michael Crawford,
called "The Jokers". I saw it on TV decades ago, and always
remembered it.
The second is "The Guru", from 1969, with Rita and Michael York.
FINALLY! ON DVD!
Check out the merchant's (Jamie's) eBay store at

I don't see that Jamie has yet listed another copy of "The Guru" for
sale, but it's only a matter of time. Perhaps he'd respond to a
request to list "The Guru" again, soon.
You can always click on an auction item, and then click on "Ask
seller a question", if you'd like to ask Jamie a detailed question.
Cheers,
Robert
