The noir-ish BRICK is the story of a high school student who is trying
find out what happened to his vanished girlfriend. The plot brings
the main character in contact with all the stereotypical elements of a
school, and in the process delivers what some critics call
indecipherable dialog. The movie was well reviewed, and most liked it
for its STYLISH DIRECTING.
FRIENDS WITH MONEY is a well-acted film about middle-aged women and
their relationship with money and each other. The dialog is good, and
the movie does not revolve around love. It revolves more around a
reflection on what four women's lives have become in the midst of ONE
BEING POOR AND THE OTHER THREE RICH. Reviewers by and large liked
this film.
The stylish big name actor packed SLEVEN is light on believability
with a lot of loose ends. Reviewers were mixed. Some liked it for
its banter; some disliked it for its unsatisfying story. The movie
takes place in New York where an unwitting young man is thrust into
assassinating a gangster's son. This movie is OF THE PULP FICTION
VARIETY.
With far too FEW FUNNY BITS, almost every reviewer has panned THE BENCH WARMERS.
