Orange Sky Productions announces its
Acting Workshop

Start date: Saturday, July 11, 2009
Duration: 2 months, thrice a week.
- An extensive programme spread out over a period of two months,
the workshop is designed to train its participants in the craft of Acting.
- The training will comprise learning and discussing acting
techniques for both theatre and film.
- The workshop will include sessions with participants acting in
front of the camera and subsequent review of the recorded performances.
Schedule –
Saturday: 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Monday and Wednesday: 7:00 pm to
9:30 pm
Venue –
Pitter Patter Nursery School,
3rd Block,
Koramangala, Bangalore.
The workshop will be
facilitated by theatre director Kanak Narayan Sen.

In this section, we have tried to answer
some of the queries that may arise, as best as we can.
-I
have no prior acting experience, am I eligible for the workshop?
The workshop does not require its participants to
have prior experience in any aspect of theatre or film.
-What
will be the language of instruction for the workshop?
The language
of instruction will be English.
-Is
there an age limit for interested applicants?
No. There is
no upper age limit that bars anybody from joining. We do, however, recommend
that applicants be at least 15 years of age. Exceptions may be made on a
case-to-case basis.
-
Is there a limit on the number of participants?
Yes. To
facilitate individual attention and time for each participant, we have decided
to limit the number of participants to a maximum of ten. Registrations,
therefore, will be conducted on a first-come first-serve basis after an initial
discussion with the aspiring participant.
-What
will I learn at the workshop?
To facilitate
step-by-step development of the aspirants, the training has been broken down
into modules such as Speech, Imagination, Improvisation, Characterization,
Scenes and Movement.
