Michael Jones:
Gee Michael, you're related to ol' DAN'l WEBSTER?! Wow! Cool, dude! Say, have you read "THE DEVIL AND DANIEL WEBSTER" by Stephen Vincent Benét? (It's a story they tell in the border country, where Massachusetts joins Vermont and New Hampshire).
Best regards, (yes, I did get the garbled message--musta been the devil!),
José

For some reason it looked like my earlier reply to Joshua Wray's request
came out garbled. Did anyone else get a garbled message from me?
Here is a re-transmittal:
Joshua:
I have a copy of her book "On the other hand", and a copy of the book The
History and Genealogy of Daniel Webster Jones, who was her grandfather and
my great-great grandfather. (Relationship is therefore first cousins-twice
removed)
Fay's dad's name is Joseph Heber (or Herber) Wray. Neither of the books I
have mentions when he was born, but if you are related, you would have
Joseph or his ancestors some where in your line. Fay talks more about her
mother's family. Her mother's name is Elvina Marguerite Jones (Wray), who
was the 9th of 14 children of Daniel Webster Jones. Elvina married Henry
Phelps first, which didn't last long, before she married Joseph Wray.
By the way, Fay's full name is: Vina Fay Wray.
How far back do you have your Wray line? Can you tie into a Joseph Wray
who would have been born probably in the 1870's-1880?
Let me know what you come up with.
