Very true, For my two cents worth, and not being from Fays generation, nothing will change King Kong from the original film with Fay. I’ve seen previews of this new KK, animation is more like a video game run amok, I'll still see it, but the original will always be the best.
Naomi Watts is a fine actor but she'll never be Fay Wray.

The myth of Beauty and the Beast was never new, so it can never be old....
An excerpt from the original and I found most interesting article found on:
http://www.palmbeachpost.com/opinion/content/entertainment/arts_entertainment/epaper/2005/12/04/a1j_kong_1204.html
"The special effects took a massive 55 weeks; it was by far the most complicated effects tour de force in the movie industry up to that point. Wray remembered that her job was made more difficult because "I didn't see any of the animation. Absolutely none."
"Most of the time she was reacting to nothing, or to footage projected onto a process screen that looked dim to her because she was at the wrong angle."
So when I see some reports of Naomi Watts not being able to act and react to K.K. without the benefit of some real, physical person to fix her eyes and emotions on, I have to go
Is this what they call acting today??? And for things like this they pay multi-million dollar contracts??? I did better in my 2nd grade Christmas play....
Just a few thoughts gang...
