Hi, John!
It's a really amazing notice! Great! But I desagree with Peter Jackson's idea to remake a classical movie. Classical movies can't be remake. Imagine you a GONE WITH THE WIND remake! I can't! A CASABLANCA remake??? No, definetely! I think Peter is a great director(I saw what he did with THE LORD Of THE RINGS and became fascinated with his serious work) but now he's wrong...
It's only my opinion.
Best!
Dani

Greetings!
A new book entitled "The Films of Fay Wray" (by by Roy Kinnard and
Tony
Crnkovich) will be published later this year by McFarland & Co. It
will be a
hardcover book, with approximately 200 pages of text and
illustrations, and will
feature a lovely color-enhanced photo of Fay on the cover. It will
most likely
be released to coincide with Peter Jackson's remake of "King Kong"
and
(hopefully) the American DVD debut of the original classic.
The book can currently be pre-ordered direct from the publisher
(http://www.mcfarlandpub.com/book-2.php?isbn=0-7864-2129-0)
or from Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-
/0786421290/qid=1107646690/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/002-0320094-0632073?
v=glance&s=books).
Although Amazon.com lists a release date of June 30, 2005,
McFarland's own
site has it slated for Fall/Winter 2005. I'm sure we'd all like to
have it in our
hands as soon as possible!
