My recollection is hazy but, possibly in the 70's, Fay Wray was interviewed by Johnny Carson. She spoke about her soon
to be published autobiography, "On The Other Hand", and had the audience gasping in admiration as a photo of herself in "King Kong" was shown.

Last night, The FOX News Channel showed a film clip
from "Kong" (Kong's first meeting with Fay at the
altar), while an obituary and some quotes from Fay
were read by anchorman Shepard Smith. The tribute
lasted about a minute, and I taped it.
Speaking of CNN, did Larry King ever do an "on-camera"
interview with Fay? I have an audio tape of a lengthy
phone interview that he did with Fay at the time of
her book's publication. The only on-camera interviews
of her that I've ever seen were in the three-part
documentary "Hollywood The Golden Years: The RKO
Story" (1987), and in TCM's documentary "Universal
Horror" (1998).
I'm going to try to pick up today's New York Times at
my local Barnes & Noble Bookstore, in case they have a
tribute to Fay.
