This is a day that I'd always hoped would not come about forever but
we all have to die, don't we? It was once said of Hollywood "that
there are more stars there than in Heaven." Well the stars burn
brighter tonight because Fay Wray is among them and the light of our
souls is dimmed because she is no longer among us. The world can
never replace who she was and those of us who were fortunate enough
to have exchanged thoughts and ideas with her either in person or
through letters (as I have) will carry her words of wisdom to the
grave. Though we were strangers, the fact that our paths crossed, if
only through the pen, only makes her passing that more painful for I
prayed that one day we would actually have the chance to meet but
that day now having forever been denied, my own life is all the
poorer for it. Good night and God Bless Miss Wray. You were a grand
girl.
