Thanks for the info, I'll be sure to look for a copy of her autobiography next time im in a book shop

Fay married three times - to writers John Monk Saunders and Robert
Riskin, and also to surgeon Sanford Rothenberg. Her autobiography
lists her genealagy fairly concisely and there is no mention of
Shufflebottom as a surname. Interestingly, I work with a lady whose
maiden name was Shufflebottom and she was also under the impression
that she was related to an actress of the '30s. She couldn't recall
the name - when I suggested Fay Wray, she said it sounded familiar.
