I like to read and at my age (going on 68) I've read a lot, but I've
never read a more beautiful tribute to someone than that which ROBERT
NELSON sent me regarding Fay Wray. It is to this beautiful and kind
lady's credit that she should have inspired it...the damsel in
distress of our childhood dreams...chimerical hopes, yearnings and
ideals which we once held dear and have resisted abandoning
altogether, notwithstanding "the thousand natural shocks that flesh
is heir to". We are the loyal remnants of those gallant troops. We
pledged her our undying allegiance oh so long ago, and we are here
today, somewhat battered and beaten by the ravages of time to say:
We, as ever, salute you fair lady!
