Welcome Jonathan-
I love it when a very young person discovers the treasures of early
cinema- especially when Fay Wray is the focus. See Steve Hill's
filmography on this website- he mentions some great sources to find
some of her hard-to-get titles. Also check eBay on a regular basis,
using "Fay Wray" as the search. I've purchased 27 titles- not
available in the traditional commercial video outlets- just in the
last 28 months- all from eBay!
Although the original "King Kong" is my favorite movie, I think
you'll be delighted in the talent and versatility she displays in her
other roles. Her performances in "One Sunday Afternoon" and "Melody
for Three" are quite impressive. Even if the film is low-budget and
lacking in production values, she's a joy to watch. Her over-the-top
portrayal of a cold-blooded femme fatale in "The Woman I Stole" is a
lot of fun.
I thought I read that "Broadway: the Golden Age" would be released in
a limited number of theaters later this year. If you haven't done so
already, check IMDB for some pictures and a video clip- as well as
the "photos" here on this message board.
We're fortunate, as Fay Wray fans, that Steve Hill has put together
such a comprehensive and loving fansite.
Again, welcome aboard!
