Subject: [FayWray] Paramont's 90th anniversary

In going over what I could find on the recent extravaganza for the
90th anniversary of Paramount Pictures, I was disapointed, but not
surprised, that there was no mention of Fay Wray.
To the general public, of course, Ms. Wray is known for just one
movie- and that movie was from RKO Pictures. I can understand this-
the original "King Kong" is, for my money, the most electrifying
cinematic thrill-ride of all time.
But, as we know, Fay Wray's career is much more than one movie.
Paramount was the most prestigeous movie studio of the silent era,
and Ms. Wray was under contract from 1926 to 1931. She worked with
some of the greatest directors and actors of that exciting period.
She is, to the best of my knowledge, the only surviving leading lady
of silent movies, and the only living link to Paramount's shining
hour in the early days of film. Since anniversaries are all about the
past, Fay Wray should have been a very special guest- or at least an
honoree- at this event.
