Dear Steve:
First of all I'd like to publicly acknowlege Robert Nelson's thoughtfulness in inquiring about me(directly). A true gentleman of the old school. Again, thank you Robert.
As to Our Lady Fay, I have not read Rick McKay's interview but I think I can guess why she refused the role offered to her in TITANIC. Like Greta Garbo she is a true cinema immortal so why bother with a new part? Our beautiful heroine will forever continue to dazzle both us and our descendants in cherished dreams.
Best,
José

It's true, she was offered the part. I agree it would have
been wonderful to see her up there, and to be back in the
public eye in a huge way. But I don't think she could have
played the part well simply because she's not soft-spoken...
The part did call for a lot of exaggerated gentleness that
she may not have physically been able to portray any more.
Still.......just imagine......
