October 3: Fairuza Balk joins Cohen's MASTERS OF HORROR

Series creator Mick Garris has informed FANGORIA that Fairuza (THE
CRAFT) Balk has been added to the cast of director Larry (IT'S ALIVE)
Cohen's MASTERS OF HORROR segment PICK ME UP, currently shooting in
Vancouver. She joins genre veteran and frequent Cohen collaborator
Michael Moriarty (see previous news item here).

In the teleplay by THE CROW's David J. Schow (based on his short
story), Balk plays Stacia, a young woman caught in a competition
between two battling serial killers named Wheeler and Walker. Balk
has also appeared in the films AMERICAN HISTORY X, THE WATERBOY and
THINGS TO DO IN DENVER WHEN YOU'RE DEAD, as well as Crispin Glover's
bizarre WHAT IS IT? and the ill-fated ISLAND OF DR. MOREAU remake.

MASTERS OF HORROR (see the official site here:
