TEETH Synopsis:

High school student Dawn works hard at suppressing her budding sexuality by being the local chastity group's most active participant. Her task is made even more difficult by her bad boy stepbrother Brad's increasingly provocative behavior at home. A stranger to her own body, innocent Dawn discovers she has a toothed vagina when she becomes the object of violence. As she struggles to comprehend her anatomical uniqueness, Dawn experiences both the pitfalls and the power of being a living example of the vagina dentata myth.

Blacksheep Films is casting for "Mother's Greed" a
non-union full-length feature, written and directed by
Michael Alexander.  This film will be shot in 24p in
the Mercer County area (Central NJ) on weekends
starting in February, ending late March.  Actors will
be needed every weekend for shoots.  All principle
roles will be paid.

Auditions will take place:

January 12, 2008 (weather permitting)
Saturday, 10 am to 12 pm

Please bring a picture of yourself and be prepared to
do a cold read.  No appointments necessary.

The Producers request that you bring a headshot/resume
or non returnable photo with all your contact
information. All actors will audition from the

If you have any questions, please contact me.  Please

discarded.

Principle Roles - ($50.00 per filming day.  Rate is
adjustable):

Bobby: 7-10 yrs old, any ethnicity, skinny to average
physique.  Bobby has a lot of scenes where he doesn't
speak, therefore the actor for this role must be able
to show emotions through face and eyes.  He is the
heart of the story and all revolves around his
eagerness to live.

Catherine: 40's-50's, any ethnicity, skinny to average
physique.  Conceded, money hungry mother role of Bobby
who will do anything in her power for a payday,
including harming her own son.

Joanne: 12-15 yrs old, heavy set, any ethnicity.  Her
mother's flunky and follows along with the plan.

Grandfather: 60's-70's, skinny to average, any
ethnicity.  He is a loving supporter of Bobby. They
share a unique bond of love.

SUPPORTING ROLES (These roles are for DEFERRED pay.)

Bill (Any ethnicity). 40-50 yr age range.  A corrupt
lawyer.

Margret (Any ethnicity). 60-70 yr age range.  Bill's
secretary.


We will also be casting for extras of any ethnicity,
any build.

Hello,
I've been enjoying my fall in a tour of TALLEY'S FOLLY to libraries in NY and CT.  As I wrap up that show, I'd like to let you know about a project I'm very excited about in NYC.

I am directing, and playing a supporting role in, the world premiere of Lloyd Pace's NEW ORLEANS running through November 11.  A cast of eleven is led by eleven year old Molly Callahan, who plays both the adult and child Buster, a young woman who looks back on her past in the 1950's to discover who she is, who her family was, and what had to happen in a New Orleans hotel room to change their lives forever. 

Mr. Pace's lyrical style and vividly original characters embody universal questions--how does our past shape our future? can we reshape ourselves if we understand ourselves? how do we learn to love?--against the backdrop of New Orleans, and the resonance of what has happened there.  This is the premiere production of The Supporting Characters, a lower-Westchester based group developing new work from initial collaborative sessions through public performance, in association with ETC Productions.

Very productive Day for Axis Video.
The crew met up at 9.30 am  Sunday morning. Chris DeCarlo, the lead actor, also showed up
at 9.30am.
 
We settled in and shot the intro/narrative scene for MY LIFE WITH THE FAIRER SEX's
"Turd" AKA "Haunting Brown" AKA " Potty Mouth", then we promptly shot the action
sequences for the short skit while awaiting for Amanda's arrival.
 
After that we filmed the opening dialog for MY LIFE WITH THE FAIRER SEX's "Pee
Girl" AKA "The Shower Isn't So Clear/Clean" Upon the completion of that it was just
before noon and Amanda, the lead Actress showed up.
So we promptly set up the shower scene and filmed it. We finished in record time and
decided to film a third short skit entitled "Kitchen Help", which will also be on MY LIFE
WITH THE FAIRER SEX.
 
Wrapping up the day of filming we sat down and talked business about the various projects
that we are all working on and brainstormed for future ideas for shoots for all involved to
collaborate on. The sequel to MY LIFE WITH THE FAIRER SEX was carved out and we
came up with the main ideas for about 14 more stories. Here is a hint, the lead will be female.
 So we know what we are doing for the rest of the year!
 
These shorts will be edited up for the feature length film ans also a trailer/preview will be cut and be available for the public prior to the release of MY LIFE WITH THE FAIRER SEX.

1. What is Dynasty of Darkness?
 
DOD is a rare venture into the world of goth, industrial, fetish and hard/dark music scene and lifestyle. Both volumes will feature live performances of  independent underground (and some nationally recognized) bands along with interviews and some additional footage of what happens at the Fetish Clubs....and a ton of behind the scene items. And each volume will feature one scripted video by a band...ala that dreaded MTV station style. Sapphic Ode (She God) has DOD volume #1 and Dead Emotion (Bytch) has volume #2.
 
2. How this idea get started? (You guys work a lot with movies, why music?)
 
Because we are damn crazy......Well we like the local bands more than the crap played on the radio, we wanted to get involved and help promote, ya know, support the scene..that silly little phrase that everybody says that but many do not practice it. So we got the brainy idea of contacting the  bands and seeing if we had permission to film..we pitched the idea for DOD, and alot of them bought into it. Some didn't and are now kicking themselves when they saw the quality and the bands that are on Volume 2. (They could have been right along side of Kittie, Bile and Carfax Abbey!)

5. When will it be released?
 
Most likely in the fall, would have been the summer but we are adding some model profiles and vendors to it to help support the dark underground supporting staff members.
 
6. What does making something like DOD entail?
 
ALOT of work......tons of travel, tickets for parking in NYC, filming the whole concert set, interviewing the band, endless hours of editing and synching the music to the video...and lots of beer, yes, cases of beer. Sweat, tears, yelling and late nights without a pat on the back.
 
We are not filming live shows anymore, BUT we will do scripted videos if a bands approaches us about it. Must have a basic script, idea of what they want in the video, props, locations picked out and secured and a budget.
 
7. How did you pick the bands to be featured?
 
Bands that we personally liked...we went to alot of local band concerts, and then approached them if we liked the band and felt that they fit of DOD, also a ton of bands approached us to be on DOD, but they weren't really the right music style or they just sucked, there was nothing that we could do. So now we have like well over 100 bands filmed just sitting on the shelf collecting dust (of the ones that didnt make it).

Here's an interesting message I received via the Exit 131 MySpace page. If any of you have anything episodic (video podcasts, etc,.) that you're working on, this might be a great forum for it!

I've also heard of people releasing feature films in episodic portions via the internet. If you're working on a feature, this could be an interesting outlet for it as well.

1. What is Dynasty of Darkness?
 
DOD is a rare venture into the world of goth, industrial, fetish and hard/dark music scene and lifestyle. Both volumes will feature live performances of  independent underground (and some nationally recognized) bands along with interviews and some additional footage of what happens at the Fetish Clubs....and a ton of behind the scene items. And each volume will feature one scripted video by a band...ala that dreaded MTV station style. Sapphic Ode (She God) has DOD volume #1 and Bile (In League) has volume #2.
 
2. How this idea get started? (You guys work a lot with movies, why music?)
 
Because we are damn crazy......Well we like the local bands more than the crap played on the radio, we wanted to get involved and help promote, ya know, support the scene..that silly little phrase that everybody says that but many do not practice it. So we got the brainy idea of contacting the  bands and seeing if we had permission to film..we pitched the idea for DOD, and alot of them bought into it. Some didn't and are now kicking themselves when they saw the quality and the bands that are on Volume 2. (They could have been right along side of Kittie, Bile and Carfax Abbey!)

5. When will it be released?
 
Most likely in the fall, would have been the summer but we are adding some model profiles and vendors to it to help support the dark underground supporting staff members.
 
6. What does making something like DOD entail?
 
ALOT of work......tons of travel, tickets for parking in NYC, filming the whole concert set, interviewing the band, endless hours of editing and synching the music to the video...and lots of beer, yes, cases of beer. Sweat, tears, yelling and late nights without a pat on the back.
 
We are not filming live shows anymore, BUT we will do scripted videos if a bands approaches us about it. Must have a basic script, idea of what they want in the video, props, locations picked out and secured and a budget.
 
7. How did you pick the bands to be featured?
 
Bands that we personally liked...we went to alot of local band concerts, and then approached them if we liked the band and felt that they fit of DOD, also a ton of bands approached us to be on DOD, but they weren't really the right music style or they just sucked, there was nothing that we could do. So now we have like well over 100 bands filmed just sitting on the shelf collecting dust (of the ones that didnt make it).
 

8. When available, where can we buy DOD2 and is DOD1 still available?
 
DOD1 is running very low, and we have no intentions of repressing them unless a distributer picks them up.
