Knowledge for Actresses to be informed on both lead and secondary roles in
PASSAGE
This film is not a horror film, it is a psychological terror-thriller with drama, and it is mainly designed for Film Festivals, though there may be more expansion that would depend on many factors. PASSAGE is a journey through the struggles of life, and the survival instincts that require by all individuals. The language of the script is raw, but that is a reflection of how life is, the brutality that inflicts itself upon us each day, whether people admit to it or not. This film will have an artistic atmospheric scene about itself, again not a horror film.
This is not big budget, but rather barest budget, the majority funding for this film will be directed to the post-production, which consists of media and film festivals.
The lead actress must first know her lines, be able to handle and do improvising, and know her marks. The main focused scene is intense and you must be athletic, some strength (not muscle bound) and be able to hold your place – this is a requirement.
The lead part is 90% on camera, and with many close-ups of facial reactions, and your body and form. No tattoos is a plus on the arms, around the neck, private little tattoos are fine if on ankles or cover by clothing – wholesome look, ‘Daddy’s girl look’. There is no nudity, but suggestive scenes (with suggestive clothing) that will be on a closed set with only essential personnel – therefore, you must be open to those scenes – ask in advancement.
In addition, the lead actress’ role should take one day of filming, but please note, if the dailies do not produce the required visual or audio presence, then another time and shoot will be scheduled and additional monies will be provided. Filming may take over 6 hours and there are two locations, both very close to each other.
The secondary role is far less screen time, estimated 2%, and may expand depending on the actresses. No actual lines are currently slated. Great part for the lead actresses’ friend or a model curious about the film making process.
Another very minor secondary role is perhaps available, - perhaps being, it is under discussion depending on artistic concerns.
