I worked on a great short film a few months ago, made by LAFS graduates, several
with whom I'd worked before (when they were still LAFS students). I just got an
update and a bit of a plea for a spot of help:
<< Hey cast and crew, hope you had a swell X-mas and New Year.
The Champ is picture lock as of today and it's kick ass.
It looks good and the sweetheart is hot. Josh and I can't thank you guys enough
for your hard work, we're doing our best to make it awesome. We'll keep you
posted on the premiere.
If anyone knows Danny Elfman's contact info please let me know as we are looking
for a composer. Thanks, Jesse. >>
If you know of any composers that could be available, the writer/director's name
is Jesse Carlson jesse-carlson@...
(While I think his Danny Elfman comment may have been a bit tongue-in-cheek, if
you do know Danny Elfman, let him know [g]...)
The tone of the film's multi-leveled storyline is that of a seemingly standard
horror (eg, [Universal Pictures type] monster) movie, a 1940s type boxer movie,
as well as a bittersweet love story.
