Jason Connell, who is making the "Strictly Background" documentary, alerted me
to this festival (which he runs [g]...), back in Tulsa. As there are a few
filmmakers in my
http://movies.groups.yahoo.com/group/badger_actor group here
(and I can CC the filmmakers to whom this may be of interest, and who have or
may have viable short subject films), I figured you/they might be interested, as
most of them I know have extremely viable short subjects [bg]...
[I admit, I wish I'd learned of this prior to the fee-date-change [semi-g]....]

Tulsa UNCENSORED Film Festival 3.0
September 24th, 2005 (Saturday) - Times TBA
http://tulsauncensored.com
TUFF promotes UNcut, UNedited & UNbiased short films from all over
the country.
TUFF does not CENSOR anything nor only screen films that fit into a
certain criteria.
TUFF simply screens as many diverse films as possible and is a safe
haven for all filmmakers.

Tulsa UNCENSORED Film Festival (TUFF) was created as a venue for local
filmmakers to be able to screen their work. The name derives from the fact that
we don't "CENSOR" anyone's work but as submissions grow we obviously can't
screen them all. However we do have plans to move TUFF 4.0 to a multiplex
theater which would allow us to show more films as well as give the audience
choices as to what they want to see. Something new with TUFF 3.0 is that we're
now taking films from all over the country and the response has been amazing. We
figured why not reach out to more filmmakers who are trying to get their work
screened and also help expose the audience to more thought
provoking films from all over.
We do plan on having special things in store for local filmmakers and embracing
all that submit to TUFF. Just knowing they have a place to be screened will help
motivate them to actually complete more projects. And as for other artists &
musicians that's been a TUFF trademark since day one. We have some great things
in store again this year which will include local artists & photographers having
their work displayed. Plus we'll have a few local musicians performing as well
as a live radio feed.
So as you can see TUFF 3.0 promises to be the best one yet and has grown so much
since that frigid evening in December 2002 when TUFF 1.0 was born. That night
the theatres heat had gone out and the venue
was on the verge of being condemned but as fate would have it that very same
theater has been completely renovated and is the host of TUFF 3.0. So we hope to
see you all there and help to make TUFF a long standing Tulsa Tradition.

* In theory we would like to receive films that are 5 -10 minutes or less so
that we can screen more films. For example we have several 30 second short
films that will break up some of the longer ones and keep the crowd on it's
feet. Now if a filmmaker has multiple entries please contact me and I will work
something out on the fees that makes it more cost effective.
