Hello all, happy summer at last!
I have, happily, been extremely busy of late--you can visit my website, cynthiagranville.com, to get more details.  In brief, I did a series of three staged readings for Blueberry Pond Arts Center in Westchester in March/April, then a reading for 12 Miles West  in their New Jersey Playwrights Festival Series--then jumped on a bus and headed for Utica, New York, to film the role of Marsha in writer-director Jim Zachar's MADNESS OF MY LIFE.  A great experience in what I hope will be a film you'll all get a chance to see at Sundance next year, as well as elsewhere....Then appeared at Victory Hall in Jersey City and the Producers' Club in NYC for Waterfront Ensemble's collection of new one-acts, STEAM.

Now this Saturday, June 12, I'll be appearing for Blueberry Pond in
PINK POODLE DOG
by the group's president, Jean-Paul DeVellard.  The play is funny and warm and sometimes sad, about a motley group of travelers who find themselves waiting for a bus connection in louisiana one night, when they meet a strange local townsperson (me).  The play looks at marching to the beat of a different drummer, dreams deferred, mental illness, friendship, ....
I will be acting for the first time with my daughter, Molly Callahan, who's eight.  She's my imaginary alter-ego, and I don't want to give anything more away.
We perform this Saturday, June 12, at the Chernuchin Theatre at American Theatre of Actors (the home of Urinetown for a while), 314 West 54 Street, second floor.  The evening of one-acts starts at 7pm, but as long as you make a reservation, you could arrive at 9pm but no later.  We'll go up at around 9:10 or so, and we're running about 25 mins.  Tickets are $15, professionals gratis.
You'll enjoy the work of this fine writer, director Jocelyn Beard, and the cast including Donna James, Eric Johnston, and Janice Kirkel in addition to me and Molly.  Let me know if you would like for me to make a reservation for you, or if you need any additional info.  Hope to see you!

cynthia
