Ah... Thanks! My guess then is it was an NBC studio event of some
type, maybe an upfront party or something. He premiered in "The
Yellow Rose" on NBC that Fall.

IMDB says he died in 2006 at age 55, but interestingly he's appeared
in 3 movies since then. Such is the power of celluloid, I guess...
