Still, there's something to be said for increased visability and for disabled folks "being part of the mix." Hello All....
BLUEPRINTVIOLATION a friendly organization for dance is actively looking for female disabled dance artists to be a part of a traveling installation into the Brooklyn Museum of Art this Saturday. If interested read below for more information.
Ready for a day in the lovely BOTANICAL GARDENS, followed by a PERFORMANCE INSTALLATION at the BROOKLYN MUSEUM? If so, this movement installation will be for WOMEN only at the Brooklyn Museum Saturday, May 5th. from 5-6pm. Yes, that's this Saturday. The installation phase will last approximately 15-20 minutes and then move into a performance by two emerging choreographers.
All you have to do is SHOW UP to BE INVOLVED! If interested be at the glass pavilion approximately one hour before the show to receive instructions via envelope. You don't need to wear anything special, or dance or sing, ALL YOU NEED IS YOU! This is the FIRST INSTALLMENT of STILL- PUSHING THE ENVELOPE so I hope you and your friends can be a part of this new experience, meet people, network,and share in a day of celebration of women and the arts. This event will happen rain or shine.

I can't stress enough how much we really need come together and support each other! The museum has opened it's first feminist art center with plenty of art for everyone. Let's kick off this evening together and show these museums, show each other and most importantly ourselves that, yes, women have, are, and STILL PUSH THE ENVELOPE everyday in everyway!
