ONE NIGHT SIT In this documentary produced by disTHIS! hosts ConnecTV, Carmelo Gonzalez and Diana Naftal detail the experience of four gay men with physical disabilities and the difficulties they’ve faced within the gay male community. Frank, while notably lacking in self-pity, participants discuss dating men with and without disabilities as well as the affect the so-called “cult of the body” has had on them.  11 minutes, 2004, CAPTIONED

WE ALSO DANCE Local filmmaker Nancy Stevens asks tough questions. Questions like, “Why, with little or no sight would someone choose an art form that normally requires so much visual acuity? How do people with visual impairments learn dance steps? Navigate space? Hold their balance?”  Said the Village Voice, “By showing us what the subjects of this stirring documentary “see” and how they perceive space, Stevens makes us feel (what) made it possible.
