Documentary film features War-Wounded on road to recovery
Independent media center hosts premiere screening of The Road Home, a new
film about the true cost of war

From recovery and rehab at Walter Reed Medical Center to participation in
the New York City Marathon, "The Road Home" tells the story of a small group
of veterans -- newly disabled -- back in the US after being wounded in
battle in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Presidential Military Medical Care Panel Member Jose Ramos is among the
soldiers featured in the documentary film, which premieres at Downtown
Community Television Center (DCTV) on April 27, 2007 as part of the "DCTV

Director Phil Hopper says that the film "shows the human cost of war, and
creates a dialogue about war that reaches across so-called
'Red-State/Blue-State' lines." Hopper and Producer Andrew Tilson edited the
film at DCTV.
