June 7th @ the disTHIS! Film Series:
How's Your News?
... and post-screening discussion with director, Arthur Bradford!
Where:
DCTV, 87 Lafayette Street (between Walker and White), 2 blocks South of the Canal Street Subway
Time:
6:30 to 9pm.
Screening starts promptly at 7pm.
How's Your News? is a surprisingly unsentimental —and often hilarious—film about a group of disabled adults who set out to interview unsuspecting passers-by on a cross-country road trip from Maine to California.
At a time when many artistic endeavors related to disability are either stiflingly "politically correct" or blatantly offensive, How's Your News? is a welcome breath of fresh air, a humorous documentary starring disabled folks that doesn't pander to cookie-cutter heroism or make fun of its subjects.
How's Your News? director Arthur Bradford will be on hand following the screening to answer your questions!
