Coming May 7, 2008, the disTHIS! 2nd Anniversay Crip-tastic Celebration! Play "Vegetable, Vegetable or Vegetable" LIVE and IN PERSON as we welcome, direct from the LONDON, England -- Mat Fraser and Liz Carr from the BBC's gloriously politically incorrect, hysterically funny, groundbreaking, award-winning (and a few other descriptives we'd rather not publish) OUCH Podcast! Haven't heard 'em yet? OUCH has been ticking funny bones and offending delicate sensibilities on the virtual airwaves since 2006. You can listen to the podcast by going to: http://www.bbc.co.uk/ouch/podcast/Due to popular demand, we'll celebrate our 2nd birthday bash by revisiting some of our audience favorites from the first two years! If you missed disTHIS! faves like "I'm Spazticus" or Special People" the first time around and would like to see 'em again or show your friends -- here's your chance! May's disTHIS! will also be the NY premiere of Mat's directorial debut "Celebrity Shotgun" which was co-created with Heart 'n Soul, a British arts organisation led by artists with learning disabilities.

Mat and Liz are taking time out of their wicked busy schedules to spend a little quality time with We want to give Mat & Liz a big NYC welcome, so spread the word!  Due to pesky fire codes, space is limited to the first 65 people and this one is almost sure to sell out.  RSVP to disthis@... and reserve your spot before the seats are gone!!!

And at a very "special" disTHIS! June 18, 2008:  Was there ever a marriage more perfect than punk rock and developmental disability? We think not! Be there as disTHIS! presents both the band and the movie, Heavy Load!Fresh from their bombastic premiere at the SXSW Festival, we're giddy with glee to present the band "too hardcore for Radio 4" and the critically acclaimed documentary which chronicles a year of life on the road year in the life of UK's only punk band "with and without learning disabilities."  Did we mention the guys'll be giggin' too? Find out about the band's "Stay Up Late" campaign by going to http://www.stayuplate.org/about.html. Want more? Listen or download "Stay Up Late" by going to: http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/audio/2008/mar/05/stay.up.late?gusrc=rss&feed=society or watch the video at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bv5_4lEUxbY

Only two months left before we go on Summer hiatus.  It promises to be an exciting couple of months -- our most adventerous to date! Don't miss any updates.
