FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The historic Senator Theater to host the World
Premiere of "FEAR OF CLOWNS" on Thursday, October 28,
2004
Baltimore, MD. October1, 2004 – Marauder Productions’
latest film, “Fear of Clowns”, will premiere at the
historic Senator Theater in Baltimore on October 28,
2004. The reception will begin at 7pm with the
premiere to start at 8pm. The film has already
garnered interest all over the web, and been mentioned
in both The New York Times and the Kansas City Star.
“Fear of Clowns” tells the story of Lynn Blodgett, an
artist suffering from coulrophobia(“fear of clowns”).
When a mysterious clown resembling the one in her
paintings begins to stalk her, killing off those
around her, she is forced to confront her fear made
flesh.
The movie pays homage to such classic horror films as
John Carpenter’s “Halloween”, “Nightmare on Elm
Street” and “Friday The 13th”, and introduces a new
psychopath into the genre’s lexicon: Shivers The
Clown.
Shot entirely in Maryland(Baltimore/Annapolis/Glen
Burnie), “Fear of Clowns” is the second feature from
Kevin Kangas, writer/director of the award-winning
“Hunting Humans”. The film stars Rick Ganz, Jacky
Reres, Mark Lassise and Frank Lama, was produced by
Jeff Kipers, Joel Baker and Michelle Baker, and was
shot by Los Angeles-based cinematographer David Mun.
Tickets to the premiere are $15 now or $20 at the
