"Bring Back the Birds" Campaign Launched!
Since the spectacular finale, fans worldwide have been clamoring for a
way to let the top brass at Warner Brothers know that we want our
heroines back. The adventures of Oracle, Huntress, Dinah, Alfred,
Reese and the evil Harley Quinn are far from over! Join the "Bring
Back the Birds" Campaign and let Warner Brothers and other potential
networks know that the BoP fandom won't quit until our show is back on
the air.
Visit www.birdsofpreyonline.com and let's bring back the birds!
I got a chance to watch it tonight. I have to say that it was not as
good an ending as I had hoped. It's sad to see how the hard work put
into keeping the show alive ending up being useless. I hope all the
cast and crew of the show good luck in future projects!
I am very much already a member of the campaign and
www.birdsofpreyonline.com messageboard. My name there
is dIna_rEyes! :)

NEW BIRDS OF PREY EPISODES
The WB will show two new episodes of Birds of Prey on Wednesday,
Jan. 8.
"Gladiatrix" will air at 8 p.m. Here's how the network describes the
episode:
"When young metahuman women are abducted in New Gotham, Helena's
(Ashley Scott) investigation leads her to uncover a secret club
where the captive women are drugged and forced to fight each other
in an arena. When Helena is also abducted, it is up to Dinah (Rachel
Skarsten) to rescue her."
David Carson directed the episode, which was written by David H.
Goodman.
"Reunion" will at 9 p.m. Here's how the network describes the
episode:
"When Helena's former classmates descend upon New Gotham for their
fifth class reunion, two of the alums are brutally murdered. While
Helena tries to find the killer, she fears that Reese's (Shemar
Moore) investigation will lead him to learn too much about her true
identity."
Chris Long directed the episode, which was written by Eddy Kitsis
and Adam Horowitz.
The WB also announced it will show two episodes of Smallville - the
first-season finale "Tempest" and the second-season opener "Vortex" -
- on Tuesday, Jan. 7.

Anyone else think this was just an amazing ep?
Loved the little confrontation between Dinah and Helena and the
knife. Dinah really shined this ep... especially in the
confrontations with Hawke. Loved the second one when she moved out
of the hitmans way then attacked him from behind.
Another thing I really liked, when Barbara was talking to Helena, it
was the usually thing where she was sitting behind the desk. She
was working out, doing a normal everyday thing.
Dina Meyer was amazing as Donatra and played a bigger part in the
movie than I thought she was going to (yeah still only about 10
minutes worth of screen time) and all was great.
I liked it, I mean I'm not a big Star Trek fan but it was very good.
Almost as good as First Contact which is probably my fav movie (Star
Trek movie that is).
The best part of it or my fav. The dogfight between Enterprise/Two
Romulan ships and the Scimitar. You just gotta love how the
federation ships are always behind in tech.
This is the first time the Remans have been seen isn't it? They look
very cool and very bad ass.
Viceroy, through out the whole movie I was like there is somthing
about him, and before it ended I was like that has too be Ron
Perlman (Blade 2, Alien Resurrection). That voice is unmistakable,
and I was right.
Shinzon, what can I say. One kick ass villain and very very creepy.
Thanks!!! I had sent in snail mail's and email to different
people! But not comics, I think I'll try that :)
Yeah I know I heard about the decent ratings things. I've heard
another article asking the question "Why was the WB in such a hurry
to cancel this series?"! I don't know where but it is out there.

Hi Everyone!
Just wondering how many of you are sending in the comics (or mockups)
to Jordan Levin and Jamie Kellner. I would love to hear any updates.
I think if we all work this campaign, we have a good chance of
getting the network to either renew the show or sell it to someone else.
If you have no idea what I'm talking about, go to the campaign page
for all the instructions on how we can save this show. The more mail
generated, the better our chances of success.

Varity posted an article on Sunday, in which they mentioned that Birds
Of Prey was "cancelled despite decent ratings". Decent ratings! Well
that's got me all fired up! I really think that if we all keep sending
the comics, we can convince them to KEEP THE BIRDS FLYING!
So spread the word! Tell everyone you know to watch (to increase
ratings) and to send in the comics to show the network we are united
in this cause. The press releases will be sent out in the next day or
so, allerting them about the comics that we are flooding them with.
Keep fighting!
Angie :)

I just hope it works, if it doesn't I have other options. All of
which will be very very time consuming and I hope I don't have too
do them.

I'm going to change how people join, it'll be by approval. Cause
what they are doing (or so it seems) is joining then unjoining.
Hopefully I won't after too do anything more than that.

there is too them, so don't shoot me if they turn out un-true.
1. The sci-fi network/channel is interested in BoP.
2. There is five more eps being filmed on the wb lot.

Hello fellow BoP fans :)
I just wanted to let you know www.birdsofpreyonline.com will be
launching an active campaign to save the show sometime tomorrow. We
as fans can save it, there is still time no matter what others have
told you; Ratings are decent for the WB, the show is still in
production and the sets won't be disassembled for another month or
so. This gives us, as fans the oppurtunity to allow our voices to be
heard in an organized fashion. We can save the show if given the
chance, it has been done many times before.
Check the photo album called Magazine for the two pics of Dina from
this months In Style mag. :)

There is a lot of us out there who feal the same way...
Why I was so interested in BOP. For starters, Dina Meyer, another
reason, no Batman. I loved the idea of Gothem heros and no Batman.
I've heard that from the get go, WB never had much faith in BOP.
I've heard some say the Batman Legacy as a whole was too dark for
their tastes (hum, apparently they haven't been paying attention to
Angel or have with them moving it to Wed. night). Lets fac it, the
Wed. slots are a bad time for WB. Plus BOP had a bad lead in,
Dawson's Creek isn't far from the end and if I'm not mistaken is
always decreasing in popularity and ratings.
I wish they give it another chance at a different time and night.
Who knows, maybe we'll get lucky and someone will pick it up.
I am very upset with how WB has treated Birds of Prey. November sweeps
were not even done before they made the decsion to drop It. Also It
did better than any other show In that timeslot last year, and most of
the time did better than Drawson's creek. WB is droppinf BOP but Is
keeping Sabrina on? What Is up with that? That show Is a shadow of
It's former self. As a batman fan,and Dina fan I am outraged by all
this. It Is not far to compare BOP to Smallville because SMallville Is
a teen soap opera not a superhero show. Angel remains on the WB
because they don't want to hand UPN another hit show(yes they boast
that Gilmore Girls beats Buffy but Buffy Is seen In a lot less markets
than It did when It was on WB) and Angel does well with male viewers
which WB needs. BOP Is not a perfect show but was better than many on
the crappy networks(I am tired of Friends,CSI,JAG,Law and Order, most
of NBC and CBS lineup, and the Reality crap like Survivor, and American
Idol, and I relize DIna appeared on Friends but she Is more talented
than all three female leads put together) BOP would have done better
If Oracle would have been given more to do,and If they would have not
have tired to copy X-Men with the Meta-Humans. With BOP gone I will
have to stick with Buffy,Angel,24,ALias,and the Simpsons. I hope DIna
gets some new work soon. She Is both a good actress, and very Beautiful
and sexy. One last word to consider Is the fact that ratings are a
shame because only a small percent of people who watch TV are counted.
Remember Star Trek was cancled because they said It had low ratings
Yet afterwords It showed they had a lot of people watching, and BOP
has a strong Internet precence, and I believe Is being screwed over,
There are four new images in the Star Trek gallery. Go check them
out. :)

Tonights ep of Birds of Prey was beyond amazing, and probably the
best ep too date.
Spoilers ahead. :)
I loved when Huntress said she would no longer fight Shiva (cause it
was Helena's friend), and just as she was about to attack Barbara
showed up. Using her sticks, it was a great ep. It was even better
cause it was a great ep for Dina. :)
tonights ep of Birds of Prey (I posted this once but for some reason
it didn't send).
spoilers ahead
An old enemy of Batgirl returns and Barbara plans to face her
again. It was a great ep for Dina and the character of Oracle
(sp?). The best part (or my fav) was when after Huntress said she
wouldn't fight Shiva (it was Helena's friend) just before she could
strike there is Barbara with her sticks. Simple amazing.
