RE: [David Strathairn] More on DS and GODOT

I couldn't believe the negative comments about DS on that link! And Henry, what
is the link to the message board
where someone explains DS's departure due to stroking of the ego of another
actor?

On another message board, there's a very differnt story, from an anonymous
person who states that he works at the Roundabout Theater:"As for David S.- he
did not like the direction his character was going (READ: conflicts with the
director) so he decided to bail. I can't say as I blame him. He's a nice guy and
apparently the director and production staff are busy stroking the needy ego of
one actor.... and I'm not talking about the formerly silent clown or the big
guy."You know, this sounds more likely that the "injured foot" story on All That
Chat, which sounded too much like the explanation for the departure of Christian
Hoff from the Roundabout Theater production of PAL JOEY a few months ago.As for
the "needy ego" the other cast members are Nathan Lane, Bill Irwin, and John
Goodman, so I'll give everyone one guess who the "one actor" is.
