The RCW conventions were arranged by 'DS' fans
themselves and were held in toronto in 1997.1998 and 1999.
There may have been smaller ones earlier.

The
name 'RCW 139' came from the number plate of a car
that Alliance had bought. The number plate kept
appearing on different cars in different episodes and the
fans had fun spotting the references to it. I think it
was used as the number of the van that Fraser falls
of in 'Flashback'.
DM was a very nice, polite guy. He showed endless
patience with the fans and appeared on three panels the
first day - the 'official' RCW Q & A and two arranged
by different groups. He also did an autograph
session between two of the panels and then stayed behind
after the last one to give autographs to anyone who
hadn't managed to get one earlier. So he was there from
10 in the morning until 6 at night. The following
day he helped with the raffle and auctioned some
items (including most of those he had donated) and came
to the Gala Dinner,

He is very quick witted
and has a great sense of humour.
Where is RCW? When each year? Any other info on it would be appreciated. What
0ther conventions are there besdies RCW and OBX or UBX or whatever it
is?

-Dragon
You were at RCW? I am so jealous! I would love to
meet DM in person. What was your impression of him? He
seems like a pretty good guy. Has anyone else in the
club been to any of the conventions?
Have any of
you read any of the fan fiction listed in the Due
South fan fiction archive? If you have, do you have any
favorite stories you would recommend? (as usuall please
ignore all stupid spelling mistakes)
MillerDOBEY
Yes,'Hellbent' was a really odd movie and DM was
definitely the best thing in it. It sort of looked like they
were making it up as they went along. David told the
story behind how he was cast at RCW in 1998. Apparently
he got through the interview, went to 'wardrobe' and
was filming within the hour.
DAVID'S EPISODE OF 'WISEGEY' WILL BE ON JULY 16TH
ON COURT TV. IT WILL AIR 2AM CENTRAL STANDARD TIME,
EARLY MONDAY MORNING. THEY SHOW 3 EPISODES OF WISEGUY
IN A ROW AND "LOOSE CANNON" WILL BE THE 3RD EPISODE.
I WOULD DOUBLE CHECK LISTINGS IN YOUR AREA TO BE ON
THE SAFE SIDE. I AM VERY EXCITED TO SEE HIM IN ONE OF
HIS EARLIEST ROLES.
I RECENTLY RENTED 'HELLBENT'
WHICH WAS MADE IN 1988, I THINK. DM WAS ONE OF THE FEW
ACTORS IN THIS MOVIE WHO COULD ACTUALLY ACT. I THOUGHT
THIS WAS A TRUELY TERRIBLE MOVIE, EXCEPT THE SCENES
WITH DAVID, OF COURSE. IF ANYONE ELSE HAS SEEN THIS
MOVIE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THOUGHT OF IT.
I'M IN
SERIOUS WITHDRAWL HERE SO I'M TRYING TO TRACK DOWN ANY
MOVIES HE WAS IN. I'VE SEEN ALOT ALREADY. HAS ANYONE
SEEN 'KILROY' OR 'DARK SPIRAL' I'M HAVING TROUBLE
TRACKING THEM DOWN.
HOPE EVERYONE IS HAVING A GREAT
SUMMER! POST YA LATER.
Did anyone see DM in Judging Amy? I blinked my
eyes and I missed him. I missed about the first minute
of the show and that just happened to be the minute
DM was on. I'm a little bumbed out, I guess I can
always hope for next week. Hope everyone had a Happy
Halloween. Mine was great because I had the day off from
work. What could be better than that!
Okay, call me an idiot. I have all new posts from
this club sent to my by email, a feature I just love.
I have been responding to these posts through my
email, even though at the bottom it clearly states DO
NOT RESPOND BY EMAIL. So my couple of last posts have
not shown up. Can you tell I'm new to this computer
"thang". I just spent forty five minutes on Instant
Messaging with my cousin trying to figure out how I could
talk to her through my headset. Well, we finally came
to the conclusing, after much cursing, that I just
don't have the proper software. The computer is lucky
it's still in one piece.
Anyway, I'm very excited
about seeing DM on next weeks episode of Judging Amy.
All to often I find out too late that he has been on
a show. The bad part is I have to wait another six
days. ARRRGGGG! I hope he's on a lot this season, it
would make me sooooooo happy!
Has anybody seen the
movie Kiss Shot with DM and Whoopi Goldberg. I say it a
couple of months ago. It was cute. Your typically
predictable made for TV fluff, but at least DM was in it for
more that one scene. Of course it would have been
better if he had been in all the scenes. A girl can
dream can't she? Hope everyone is doing well. Post to
ya later, Kelly
P.S. I wish they had spell check
on these posting boards.
Hi,
David's in the JA epsiode to be broadcast
on 31st October. He's playing 'the editor' again but
the character (after 2 appearances last season) now
has a name. Let's hope this is significant and means
we will be seeing him more often this season.I know
they are planning stories that 'arc' over more than
one episode this year.
I agree, a weekly fix of David is a must, that is
why i own and still collecting all his Due South
videos,(hope i get The Last Don I&II for xmas) that was a hit
for my other half,
i just wish that english T.V.
would show more american T.V. then we could see more of
Davids other works.
Julie-Elizabeth.
Okay, just an observation. DM has had bit parts
in alot of CBS shows or mini series here in the
states: The Last Don, Diagnosis Murder, Judging Amy,
Touched By An Angel, and now Nash Bridges. Due South was
aired on CBS. Obviously they like the guy, why don't
they give him a regular role on something? I am in
desperate need of a DM weekly fix. I watch him everyday on
DS on TNT, but seeing him in a new weekly role would
be great!
I'm not a big Nash Bridges fan, even
though I was transfixed on Don Johnson when he starred
on Miami Vice(like everyone else at that time),but
now I'm going to have to watch it so I don't miss
when they repeat that episode. It will be worth it
when I actually see DM in something new.
I think
at one time someone posted that DM might have a
semi-regular role on Judging Amy. Does anyone have anymore
info regarding this?
Hi,
Funnily enough I'm just back from holiday
in the States and saw David in the S6 opener for
Nash Bridges.

He was one of the 'bad' guys and
had a goatee beard. He brought a lot of humour to the
part of the crook who supplies explosives and
certainly was a lot more interesting than the main villain.
Hi Kelly,
It's Great to find someone to talk
to, yes i discovered David in Due south but i have
seen him in seaquest(greed for a pirate dream)and many
other things, but it was Due South that put it all
together for me, i suddenly found out who this cute guy
was who kept popping up in bit parts on my
T.V.
Yes i have seen Diagnosis Murder (scott baio, very
sexy). sorry about that, must admit David is better,i
have seen the episode Gangland, there reruning
Diagnosis Murder on the BBC at the momet, the ones with
Scott Baio has just finished so the one with david
should be coming up soon, the BBC has also just finished
a rerun of the first two seasons of Due South, so i
have been in heaven.
Its great to find someone to
talk to,
email me
sometime.
Julie-Elizabeth.
Julie@....
I just wanted to say welcome to the club. I have
been redoing my room where my computer is located so
needless to say I can't use it or for that matter even get
to it right now. I'm typing this message on my
cousins computer. I've been looking for DM pals myself.
Good to have you on board but it might be awhile
before I'm "online" again.
Are you a Due South fan
also or did you discover DM before the show. I became
a Due South fan because of DM. Since then I have
seen alot of his other work including the Last Don
mini series, Kiss Shot with Woopi Goldberg, Judging
Amy, Touched by an Angel and I finally just saw him in
Diagnosis Murder. (Yes, admit I love Diagnosis Murder. Have
you ever seen it? If not, you would probably like it
because it starred Scott Bao for the first couple of
seasons.)
Again, welcome to the club. Hopefully I'll be
able to dig out my computer soon!

P.s. I typed
this fast so don't look too closely at my spelling.
Thanks, Kelly
Did anyone see DM on Diagnosis Murder in the
episode titled "Gangland" which showed on PAX TV a couple
of weeks ago. It was interesting to see him play a
bad guy as compared to his Ray V. charactor on Due
South. I just wished he had more screen time on the
episodes, especially since he was the guilty party.
Hi,
i recently joined this club looking for pals to talk to about David
Marciano, but you all seem to have gone on vacation, please some one out there
talk to me.
Julie-Elizabeth
Hi,
Just read that you want to know where we
first saw David and why we like him, well i first saw
him in seaquest, then due south. What makes me like
him? he comes from an Italian background and he has a
great east coast accent,(just like Scott Baio)sorry had
to get that one in, can't help it, just love those
east coast Italians.
I am relatively new to this club and would just
like to say HI to everyone. I noticed that usually at
least one person logs into the club each day but no one
posts anything. So I'm taking the initiative. I would
like to know why you like David Marciano?
The
first time I every saw DM was when I started watching
Due South on TNT. The truth is I didn't want anything
to do with the show. I knew it had been cancelled
and didn't want to start loving a show when I knew
there would be no more new episodes. One day I decided
to watch it because there was nothing else on TV,
and from that day on I was hooked. Actually I was
hooked on DM. I loved his Ray V. character. Ray was a
fun loving kind of guy! And who could not love those
eyes!!! Unfortunately the first show I saw was the flash
back episode, which was one of the very last season 2
episodes. This meant I had to watch all of season three
with that other Ray person before seeing DM in any
episodes.
I've now seen DM in alot of other roles and
he always does a great job bringing his charactors
to life.
So that's my DM story, what's yours?
