Hi Wendy,
Thanks for the link and the news that David is the new Artisitic Director of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival. I couldn't open the link you gave, since it wrapped around in a crazy way. Luckily, the computer-savvy Michael Sassella sent me the article separately. (Where IS Amanda when you need her??)
Here is a shortened link I got by going through Tiny URL, which shrinks those long thingies.
I am so happy for David! Not only is he continuing to enteratain us with his music and talent, but he is willing to give back to the community. This is my 10th Anniversary of discovering David's talent. I have seen him live, my first time in the Berkshires in Massachusetts, sitting 4 feet from him. I went 3 states away to see him after buying his first 2 cds in NYC while visiting.
And, I discovered that through our Maine connections, I am a distant cousin to his former accompanist and arranger, Chris Denny!
I would enjoy hearing from the original David listers--As young as I feel, I am recently recovering from a heart attack and a quadruple heart bypass and listening to David's swing albums has been great therapy! He has it. Just wait til David returns to a concert venue to the States!
Jay in Maine
