Hi everyone,
I just wanted to let everybody who might be interested know that Dan
Pintauro has signed to appear in the hilarious whodunit, "Shear Madness"
at New Theatre Restaurant in Overland Park, Kansas from February 11 -
April 11, 2004.
"Shear Madness" is America's most popular and longest running play. Now
in it's 23rd year in Boston and it's 17th year at Washington D.C.'s
prestigious John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. More than
4.6 million people worldwide have seen this hilarious whodunit.
A reknowned classical pianist is murdered in her apartment above the
Shear Madness beauty salon and you, the audience, interrogate the
suspects, evaluate the clues and solve the mystery. This wacky,
spontaneous play never has the same ending twice.
"A blast of energy, with bang-bang dialogue. Every bit has been honed to
perfection. I would not only recommend "Shear Madness" to my parents,
but I'd also take them to it - and be a hero for the next month." - San
Francisco Chronicle
"Screamingly funny. Makes you laugh wildly and uncontrollably. Bound to
become a huge hit. An outrageous, fast-paced couple of hours of
take-no-prisoners laughter. An amazingly laugh provoking comedy and a
very engaging whodunit. Well, just go see this. Everyone needs a good
laugh." - Contra Costa Times
New Theatre Restaurant, in greater Kansas City, is the Midwest's
premiere theatre restaurant experience. Cited by Gourmet magazine for
"outstanding dining" and by The Wall Street Journal as "the best dinner
theatre in the country," New Theatre Restaurant features Broadway-style
musicals and comedies starring award-winning actors from stage TV and
film.
I spoke with Dan on the phone yesterday and he is very excited about
this production. He may also be appearing at a mall here in Overland
Park to sign autographs and promote the play in mid December. If anyone
is interested in more information, let me know.

The play is by Joe Godfrey, and Mark Cannistraro of Sourceworks Theatre
directed a revival of it. I don' t know anything about rights to works like
that or what you'd have to do to get what you requested. However, you can
try contacting Mark at sourcew@..., and he knows all about that stuff
and this play in particular.
My boyfriend and I want to produce the Gay Christmas Carol (in whicj
Danny starred) here in Amsterdam, but no-one seems to be able to tell
us where to get the script, who produced it in New York etcetera. Is
someone here able to help us? Greetz from Holland!
I second that. As we've posted many times before there is public snail mail
or email address for Dan. Instead we try to update everyone via this list
and the website of his public performances.
Please note, it is not acceptable use of this group to ask for or
provide Dan's address. If and when he chooses to provide a
public fan mail address it will be posted both here and on his
official web site. Whilst he chooses not to have one please
respect his privacy and wishes by not passing around contact
info for him. Thankyou... webmaster@...
What about email?

The "new' Ellen Show was sort of like that.. she was gay but they didn't
make too much of an issue of it... unfortunately it didn't last long, maybe
producers took it as a sign.... :(

Yes I agree with you 100%. I think by now the public would be more
accepcting of a gay character on a family sitcom, then in the past.
Danielle.

I'm supportive of Danny too. His coming out is one of the things
that made it easier for me when I came out. After all, if you're
family's favourite sitcom has a young gay actor, then they are more
responsive to a family member coming out, you know what I mean? By
the way, I wonder why TV producers don't make a program where the
teen-age character happens to be gay. I mean, not as part of the
storyline, just have him or her go out on a date or something, then
when he or she comes home with their date, or the date picks them up,
they happen to be the same sex, with no on-screen reaction from the
family, as if they already know and don't care. I wonder how the
public would receive such a program?
Yes i do know that Danny is Gay, I've known ever since he came out to the
public. I support him 100%. He is a great role model to young people out
there who are struggling to come out.
I also saw the movie "Cujo", that movie is my favorite movie of all time.
Danielle.

Hi, my name is Danielle & I'm 21 years old. I live in New-Brunswick,
Canada. I'm a big fan of Danny Pintauro. I've been a fan of his since
