I was thinking
the same thing … aside from not recalling who they were after she’d
met them a few times, it bothered me a bit that she acted like she was so
clueless – she did the same thing with the Wiggles only much more
rude. I don’t remember exactly what she said but she referred to
their fans as spastic and on a sugar-high and acted like she’d never seen
them before when she had…

FWIW, I wrote a letter to the Today show
yesterday (today@...).
I pointed out that Katie introduced them when they performed in the
Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade last year and had them as guests as part of
their summer Kids Fest entertainment, yet she claims she's still not
familiar with them.
It is one thing to say that her kids are
too old to watch a show geared towards preschoolers, but, personally, I think
it is rude to say that you have never heard of one of your guests. Aren't
you supposed to research and be knowledgeable about your
guests before they are on the show?
