That Was Then...This Is Now. This 1985 film, based on
the novel by S.E. Hinton, is being screened as part of
the UCI Film and Video Center’s Disaffected Youth
series. That Was Then... concerns the changing
relationship of two boyhood friends as one gets a
girlfriend, a job, and decides to grow up as the other
remains, well, disaffected. Starring Craig Sheffer,
Emilio Estevez and NYPD Blues star Kim Delaney and
recommended for those who appreciate the Hinton
